Sweet, broad and rich, combining ripe red fruits with equally sweet smoky oak.
Brunello Di Montalcino, "Pian Dell'Orino" 2000 14% -Toscana- £117.00
The 2000 Brunello di Montalcino is a powerful, muscular wine endowed with plenty of dark fruit, 
minerals, spices and French oak. The balance here is exceptional, as everything is in the right place.
Pian dell’Orino’s 2000 Brunello saw an incredible seven weeks of fermentation on the skins, 
followed by a whopping 40 months in oak, equal parts cask and medium-size barrels.

From Terlano’s top ‘selection’ range, this wine has a superb palate with lots of fruit and a complex 
character of mineral and honey. Harmonious, full and very persistent.
Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi, Villa Bucci, 2003 13.5%  -Marche- £67.50
This is a straw yellow intense wine with liveliness of beautiful sign of a nice freshnes.
Sauvignon Colli Orientali, Miani 2007 13.5% -Friuli- £111.00
Straw-yellow color. Herbal and peppery nuances to the aromas of lemon zest and angerine, with echoing 
notes of passion fruit and cantaloupe.The rich but suave flavors of peach, passion fruit and kiwi are 
delicately herbal and spicy.Finishes very long and smooth, with an intriguing mineral touch.

Sauvignon "Quarz", Cantina di Terlano 2005 13.5% -Alto Adige- £96.90
Light straw-yellow in colour with green reflexes, Sauvignon Quarz has a complex bouquet,
with apricot and elderflower nuances underlined with light woody notes; on the palate it is rich and ample, 
lightly salty and mineral, multifaceted, with a long finish.

Primitivo "Sessantanni", Feudi di San Marzano 2006 14.5% - Puglia- £54.00
This 100% Primitivo grape wine has an intensely deep ruby color to it and a medium/heavy body. 
The aroma is full of fruit, and hints of coffee and the barest whiff of sweet aged pipe tobacco.
Chianti Classico "Principe Corsini", Le Corti 1997 14%  -Toscana- £65.50
Harvest is done by hand, the grapes are destemmed and put in open air tanks with temperature control system
The wine ages 20 months in big oak casks and used tonneaux. A 6-month aging period in bottle follows.
Schioppettino Colli Orientali, Ronco del Gnemiz 2006 14.5% -Friuli- £76.90
100% Schioppettino. Dry, deep ruby red in color. Aromas of red berries and earth. Soft tannins, 
full bodied and structured. An impressive mouthful of wine now with a spectacular potential for aging. 
Petra I.G.T. Toscana, Cantine Petra 2004  14% -Toscana - £95.50
70% Cabernet sauvignon, 30% Merlot. This is a wine of quite exceptional breath and richness of structure.
On the nose, hints of undergrowth and kaleidoscope aromas. 
Kurni, Oasi degl'Angeli 2006 14.5% -Marche- £106.00
Elegant and balanced, impressively powerful flavours but still light and supple. An extraordinary wine from
the Montepulciano grape variety. Deep aubergine colour; intense, complex aromas are laden with fleshy ultra ripe fruit
enlivened at the end by balsamic notes; massive yet polished weight in the mouth.
Sassicaia, Tenuta San Guido 2000  13.50% -Toscana - £215.00
85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Cabernet Franc. The noise is a mix of black fruits, olives
truffle, while the palate gives a way to the full bodied round tannings leading to silky finish.
Solaia, Marchesi Antinori 2004  13.50% - Toscana - £330.00
"The thrilling 2004 Solaia". 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Sangiovese and 5% Cabernet Franc.
Is clearly one of the highlights of this great vintage.
Red Magnum
Amarone Classico "La Marega", Le Salette 2004  15% -Veneto- £167.50
This was the 3rd wine of the night, but it held up its end of the bargain as a standout. 
On the nose, it was heavy in honeyed tobacco, dates, and figs. The mouthfeel was middling. strong with a plum, fig.
The attack was full of more figs and honey, but now the fruit had its chance to stand out. 
Barolo "Vigneto Rocco" Andrea Oberto, La Morra 1997 14.5% -Piemonte- £179.50
Oberto’s adoption of avant garde winemaking techniques and maturation exclusively in French oak, for 2 years, 
means that all his wines have great elegance, suppleness and precision of fruit flavours.This wine is a mature mid-red ripe,
open nose with complex pot-pourri notes, rich soft palate, developed spicy flavours with a long warm finish.
